It's YOUR baby!
We’re Just Here to Feed It.
In the VC world, there’s a dangerous lie that gets told after the term sheet is signed. It’s the idea that once you take the money, the company isn’t yours anymore. It belongs to the "board." It belongs to the "investors." It belongs to the "exit strategy."
We don’t believe that.
We’ve seen too many founders get pushed out of their own dreams because a fund manager needed a win for their Q3 report. We’ve seen "partners" try to rewrite the DNA of a company they didn't build, just to squeeze out an extra point of IRR.
That’s not how we play.
The Investor is Not the Parent
I recently had a conversation with a founder we back. He was thanking us for the loyalty and the trust we’ve shown him. And I told him the same thing I tell every founder we work with:
"It’s YOUR baby."
Think about that for a second. When you start a company, you’re not just building a product. You’re raising something. You’re giving it a name. You’re giving it values. You’re teaching it right from wrong. You’re the one staying up all night when it’s sick.
As investors, our job is simple: We feed the baby.
We provide the capital, the connections, and the "nutrition" it needs to grow. But we don’t pretend to be the parents. We don’t try to change its personality or tell it who it should grow up to be. That’s your job.
You Raise It. You Teach It. You Lead It.
Most VCs want to be the "cool uncle" who shows up, tells you how to live your life, and then leaves when things get messy. Or worse, they want to be the controlling guardian who takes over the moment you hit a rough patch.
We know our place.
We provide the fuel. We open the doors in London, Dubai, and Riyadh. We fight the battles in the trenches with you. But at the end of the day, you are the one raising this thing. You are the one who has to live with the decisions.
Loyalty is Our Only Exit Strategy
In a chat from our recent partnership, the founder said something that struck me: "I rather have this journey with you than any other investor who will never have your heart."
That’s because we don’t just invest in cap tables. We invest in the people who are raising the next generation of great companies.
If you’re a founder who is tired of VCs trying to kidnap your baby, let’s talk. We’ll bring the food. You bring the vision.
We’re here to help YOU achieve your dream—period.
